It is with deep regret that we have learned of the death of our dear former colleague

      Prof. dr. Frank Go

Emeritus Endowed Professor of Event and Tourism Marketing in the Department of Marketing Management at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM).

Frank joined RSM in September 1996 and established the Centre for Tourism Marketing. As an internationally well-known and respected scholar, he taught event and tourism marketing to our bachelor and master students until his retirement in 2014. Frank had a great capability for combining academic research with business practice, and bringing this knowledge and experience into the classroom.

We will remember Frank with fond memories as a very amiable person with a positive mindset. Our thoughts are with his wife Quita, his children and grandchildren.

I was lucky to get to know Frank and Quita during an AIEST Conference in South Africa in 2010. Yesterday, I took the photobook to watch the beautiful pictures and good memories of the posttour in Capetown. Unfortunately, today,I had to learn about the death of Frank.
Dear Quita. I would be pleased to get in touch with you. frasquitago at yahoo.com does not work anymore. Please contact me on flipper.9107 at bluemail.ch.

It is only today that I received the sad news of Frank's passing. I wish to convey my sincere condolences to his loved ones and close associates.
It may be a consolation that he was able to finish his last edited volume which is about to appear in print.
I met Frank early in my career in the mid-nineties as we both shared a passion for the economy of tourism. I had the honour to attend his inaugural lecture in Rotterdam and the pleasure of sharing the supervision of a PhD student who graduated from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
Frank was a genuinely generous, supportive and amiable colleague. He will be dearly missed.

I met Frank only once, about two years ago, to discuss an article that I was going to write for a publication together with Edbar Zaman. I knew that Frank was fighting a severe illness and I am devastated to hear that he has lost this battle. Frank was a very generous and knowledgable person. I feel very sad about his death, which came much to early. I do offer my sincere condolences to his family and friends. Dr. Stefan Rosu, Maastricht (NL)/ Mattsee (Austria)
