Alweer een jaar voorbij maar toch nog zo dichtbij.

Dear Gillian,
Every time I step into the DT room it is impossible not to think about you. In the daily craziness of school I sometimes feel you are there, I can't believe you are not with us.
we will always miss you, you are a part of ISH and all the students lives you touched.

I remember when we were in class, in DT, working on a pop-up book. We?d just come back from our history lesson, a lesson about angels and their link to religion. Our history teacher let us listen to a song from the Eurythmics; ?There must be an angel? and I remember I had it stuck in my head.
During DT, when we were creating our product, there was a cozy atmosphere, and I couldn?t help but hum the song that we?d just learned. Livius, who was working next to me, picked up this song, and he started, with no reason at all, to sing this song out loud. I remember feeling a bit embarrassed, but I started to sing with him.
After some time passed, we suddenly heard a voice behind us say: ?Aren?t you a bit young for that?? I remember both Livius and me looked around and we didn?t have a clue what miss Brown was talking about.
?That song, it?s from the Eurythmics, from before you were born,? she clarified. We shrugged our shoulders and explained what we had done in history. Mrs. Brown had a good laugh, and some time later we heard the music come from the speakers. The entire IT-section of the class knew how to sing along, including Mrs. Brown. I never had such a fun lesson of DT before, and I really liked this particular lesson.
This is one of the memories I will never forget. Thank you, Mrs. Brown.

Lieve Erwin, ik ben erg geschrokken toen ik een paar weken geleden hoorde dat je vrouw ziek was, gister in de action toen ik je vroeg hoe het ging zei je dat ze al overleden was... Er ging een schok door me heen... Heel veel sterkte met het verwerken van dit grote verdriet en ook voor jullie kindjes..

RIP Gillian...
