I was shocked and saddened by your sudden passing. I got to know you as a dedicated teacher, and someone who always enjoyed to find the humour in something. The first time we really bonded, was reflecting on how the Lucerne team managed to qualify for a ridiculous rental car upgrade, and how a vehicle that nice would perform out in the Bush.
I have spent a lot of time this week, and especially today, thinking about what you meant to me, and the lessons I learnt from you. While we didn't always speak, I could catch up on your life from Xialou, and I always enjoyed hearing of your victories, and achievements.
You were a great man, a wonderful father, and a dutiful friend. I missed not attending the World Moot, knowing you might come. I shall miss never getting to meet you again, or hear that chuckle, when we describe how to derail students during their moot arguments.
I will miss you,
