Beste Urwin ,

Vele malen zijn we heen en weer gereden naar Haarlem om te kickboksen , vele jaren later stond je in Suriname opeens naast me , verbazing alom dat we elkaar nu juist in het Torarica weer moesten ontmoeten. een heerlijke avond volgde .
Nu het bericht dat je er niet meer bent , rust zacht oude vriend.

I was shocked to hear the terrible news on Urwin\'s passing.

The World has lost one of it\'s brightest stars. Urwin was always laughing, always positive, and always willing to help.

I worked with Urwin when he was at adidas, his smile would light up a room, and his laugh was contagious, I did not get to see or communicate that much with Urwin over the years, but when I did it was as if time had stood still and we were back at adidas working together, talking about sport, life and laughing together at my silly jokes.

My friend you are greatly missed, and heaven is a better place with your presence.

Rest in peace our friend Urwin Babb, my adidas buddy who is no longer with us. I shall found Dutch Spanish Leadership for AfricaOn July 9th I telephoned Urwin from Johannesburg. He had predicted Holland v Spain final. I told him we should forget about the result and follow the Mandela leadership regardless of who would win on July 11th

We then agreed to found Dutch Spanish Leadership for Africa

I shall proceed accordingly

Dear Family and friends,

Upon arrival home today from a short vacation, it has come as an immense shock to hear of Urwin\'s passing. We were colleagues together at Adidas, have lived and recalled many of the great stories that we were apart of building within the brand, and i had become to know Urwin as a top, top guy!. We often chatted on the phone, caught up at the coffee house or just shared thoughts via email. I visited him in hospital last year and wished he would make a full recovery. Sadly this was not to be. A small and intelligent guy with a giant heart and even larger smile. I will miss you Urwin. RIP from me, all of your present and former adidas colleagues and those who simply were blessed to meet with you.

Nu is er alleen nog de stilte,het verdriet en de pijn.Vertrouw:het zal niet altijd zo zijn.De diepste wond wordt verzacht door de tijd.Maar de herinnering aan jou houd mij.Die raak je nooit meer kwijt,lieve dierbare vriend van mij.Rustzacht!!!

Woorden schieten nog steeds te kort, maar het is helaas realiteit dat je er echt niet meer bent. Je hebt een mooie dag en uitvaartdienst gehad vandaag, toch zullen we je missen en blijven gedenken. Rust in Vrede!
