      Ann's death was sudden, unexpected and a shock to us all. While we mourn her passing, we must also celebrate her life and achievements. We should give thanks that each of us shared a part of that life. We welcome you to share the Ann that you knew and loved.

        You were the closest teacher to me and all memories of Beverweert come to my head now...without your support, I couldn't make my day that happy.


        I still remember when a big earthquake occured in Japan, you were warmly welcomed me to your room and encouraged me 'till to be calm.
        You were always there besides us with a tender smile.
        You were not only as a teacher, but also as a mother to students living in the boarding house.

        I'll always remember you (Beverweert '95-'97)

        I was nervous when I entered Beverweert in 1995. Just arrived in the Netherlands and knew nothing and how I should adapt into the new life.

        Ann and Mr. Davies were there for me and their door was always open in the centre of the boarding house. I built up confidence with their encouragement. Without them, I don’t know what I would become.

        Thank you, Ann. I’ll always remember you and treasure the memories.

        To us, Mr. and Mrs. Davies are more than teachers to us. They are people who we can confine and approachable. They are ever patient to even to those who skive their lessons.

        Rest in Peace and we will morn the loss of such a great friend.

        Dear Davies family, sorry to hear about Ann, my condolences! She (and Chris) always made me feel very welcome in their PWAC appartment and she always made me laugh with her (naughty) humor. Sad that she left you and us so soon. I wish you a lot of strength the coming period!

        You were always there for me when I needed you and to share those special moments in my life. You washed my paint covered clothes after trying to teach me to keep the paint on paper...... You drove me to my first day at university...... You watched me get married....... You were one of the first people to meet Issy and Ollie.

        You are and always will be an important person in my life, you truly made me feel part of your family, I remember feeling so blessed to have you when you told me to get In the family photos at Sarah's wedding.

        If I can be just a tiny bit more like you in my life I will be a better person.
