Today we remember with deep love and gratitude our dear Zuster Clemmie — our first spiritual mother, beloved Oma Clemmie, and a woman whose life consistently reflected Jesus.
Her faith was strong and deeply rooted in Christ. She played a foundational role in our lives and the spiritual landscape of Aruba. Alongside Brother Eric, she obeyed God’s call and co-founded Faith Revival Center — a church birthed in vision and obedience. Together they shepherded many and sowed seeds still bearing fruit. Their ministry was sacrificial — they gave up major career opportunities in Aruba and the Netherlands to serve both island and nations. Their generosity was immense — spiritually, emotionally, and practically.
Though life brought deep challenges and their paths eventually separated, God preserved what was planted. We were shaped in that spiritual nest — especially by Zuster Clemmie’s example — and by God’s grace, continue doing the work of the Kingdom.
She often spoke of the Katia Vision, a moment foundational to the ministry. In it, a girl named Katia appeared, devastated and holding her detached arm, asking to be restored. It captured their core calling — to bring healing to broken lives through Christ. This wasn’t just their mission; it was their way of life.
Zuster Clemmie was prophetic, wise, and deeply devoted to the Word. In every service, she would write down every detail — verse and point. And when leading the Bible School, her intensity only increased. Her grades weren’t judgment — they were motivation to grow. A 7 meant you were developing — but had more ahead.
She didn’t just pray for us — she pastored us. She asked real questions — especially about our marriage. With humor and insight, she’d ask, “How are the parkietjes doing?” Jacky would answer honestly, and Clemmie would pray, encourage, and walk with us.
She was family. When Jacky was expecting Shekainah, Zuster Clemmie packed her bags three weeks early to support the delivery — and was there, worshiping, praying. Afterward, she cooked for over three months until Jacky regained her strength. That was who she was — present, serving, full of joy, always dancing before the Lord with her signature forward-and-backward steps.
Even after moving from Aruba, she stayed connected. Her birthday dedications were always prophetic and personal. Her last one, this past January, was a word of release — to the nations, to pour out what God had placed in us. That same spirit marked her coaching in 2000 during our first tent crusade. She guided us using Brother Eric’s examples, offering feedback and grading each sermon — always pushing us forward.
In crisis, her voice was steady:
“Relax in the Lord and in His Word.”
And she’d often say:
“You are Joseph. Keep filling the silos in the dry times so you can give when the drought ends.”
Just as in Genesis 41:47–49:
“Joseph collected all the food during the seven years of abundance… and stored it… so much that he stopped keeping records.”
Zuster Clemmie lived like that — sowing truth, storing grace, feeding others from the abundance God gave her.
And now, at the close of her earthly journey, we echo 2 Timothy 4:7:
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
She truly did. Her life discipled us — more through example than words. We thank God for her life, her faith, and her legacy.
A Message from Frank & Jacky, Our Family, and GSCC
Michael, Najean, Shekainah, Aleana, Khaden, Isabellah — and the GSCC family — extend strength, peace, and comfort to her children, grandchildren, and loved ones.
1 Thessalonians 4:13–18 reminds us to grieve — but with hope. Jesus will return, and we will be reunited. Let us live as she did, keeping our eyes on the promise of His return.
We are deeply thankful to God for giving us access to your parents — especially Zuster Clemmie. If it weren’t for them (and the Lord Jesus), where would we be? Her life impacted so many. It was not wasted. It was poured out for God’s Kingdom.
And the Bible says she will be crowned:
💠 Crown of Life – for those who endure trials
James 1:12 / Revelation 2:10
💠 Crown of Righteousness – for those who long for Christ’s return
2 Timothy 4:8
💠 Crown of Glory – for shepherds who cared for God's people
1 Peter 5:2–4
She earned them — and will wear them with joy.
Well done, faithful servant. Your legacy lives on in all of us.
