      Donna touched us all with her warm heart, bright smile and beautiful personality.

      What will we remember most about Donna?  Her humor , her kindness and sincerity and her general belief that everyone is good and means well. 

      She had a great love for music, playing drums and coloring. She had about a 100 coloring books.

      She really enjoyed food, but was not really partial to vegetables although she did take a liking to asperges recently.

      She also liked doing crochet, she started on scarves for a colleague’s daughters in 2017 but never finished them as Donna always wanted everything to be perfect and thought that what she created was never good enough.

      Her drive was something everyone admired. She moved from California to The Netherlands on her own and mastered the Dutch language in no time without following one course

      Donna’s death was sudden, but her life was not faint. Her memory will always be with us.

      We will all miss our friend dearly and are grateful for having known her.

        Wij missen je lach..

        Wij missen je passie en gedrevenheid ..
        Onvoorstelbaar! Dit alles nooit meer samen ervaren. En ook nooit meer samen genieten, lachen en mooie foto's maken na een nieuw kapsel in de kapsalon.
        Ontmoet als klant en in de loop van de jaren een hechte band opgebouwd. Vele mooie herinneringen, begonnen als klant en al snel bij onze familiegelegenheden.. want dat voelde zo fijn en gewoon...
        7 maart elkaar gelukkig nog gezien en gelachen. Je liep als altijd weer stralend de deur uit met je nieuwe kapsel..

        Bedankt voor het delen en verspreiden van je positiviteit en sparkeling !

        Oh, this is so sad, I have many fond memories of Donna, like our last conversation on January 29 when we spoke about our plans for the future. Donna always put a smile on my face, she gave colour to life, she was reliable and good to work with, she had a golden heart. Much strength and love to her family and friends.

        I feel so sorry to take so long to react but I was really really shocked and stunned. Even with all the craziness in the world now, I had to process what I felt and wanted to say.
        I had even written with Donna a few months ago about coming for a visit to Canada. We met at Elsevier and she was such a gutsy and unique woman and became a really good and loyal friend. Ironically, a few years after Elsevier I ended up living in San Francisco where Donna stayed with me and I met her sweet mother Mrs. Hamilton and her sister and nephew. She was so much younger than her actual years and when she started playing the drums, this just made me even more in awe of her daring and independent spirit. I am so glad I was still able to introduce her to my young son and enjoy a fun playdate together at the VondelPark. I am truly so sorry that her dynamic life had to be cut way too short and I send my deepest sympathies to her family and many many friends. You will not be forgotten Miss Donna! Thank you for being my friend and inspiring people with your life.

        We met for coffee just last month and had a great conversation about blues music and how you were looking forward to your retirement and having more free time for drum and making music. So unexpected and so unfair. Rest in peace, dear lady. Your ever present smile and loving character will be sorely missed.

        My heartfelt condolences to Donna's family and loved ones in this difficult time. She was truly one of a kind!

        My sincere condolences for the passing of Donna to her family and friends. She was an example to all of us; very sweet, very open and approachable, always fun to talk with and always taking time to help people and listen to them. I worked for many years with her and will miss her.
