Fiona was my first manager at Google, she was a great human who made me feel welcome and safe. She always listened and gave me great advice and looked after me. I am very grateful to have met her. These photos are from a fun event in 2013.

I met Fiona at SNB Utrecht in 2010. The friends I met there became my family and Fiona took care of us all. We had so much fun! We ate pancakes, we saw the lights of Utrecht by night, so many fun dinners at her house and out. We travelled all over the NL and even to Estonia to knit! I was so excited when she came to Atlanta and I could show her my home. Fiona is love and joy. I am so thankful for her friendship.

We both loved to go to the oceanium in valencia. That was a memorable day as we laughed, and mostly cried. You were so honest about your life, love and fear of dying. I just wanted to scoop you up and take you to a place where there is only laughter, sun and well a lot of beautiful fish….our favorite: the white beluga. Remember how we stood there, behind the glass, staring, mesmerized? it was impossible to say goodbye …
