I remember my first meet-up with Hans in Markdorf, Germany.

I was met by a warm and kind man, who instantly showed me that I was an important person to him, with his interest and genuine behavior - I liked him from that first moment and that impression only grew stronger as we emerged into many interesting conversation where he gave me a glimpse of his approach to the world but more importantly to his family.

He was the kind of man you remembered despite perhaps meeting many people on your way - such was his personality, strong integrity, no presence of ego and simply happy with what life had offered him - an inspiration to me, now more than ever.

I only wish I'd had the chance to spent more time with you Hans.

I'm lost for words....

What an amazing man with a phenomenal legacy. He was more than just a husband, dad and a grandfather in your lives. A remarkable man who left his mark on many lives around the globe.

A cornerstone to his family and an inspiration for many.

It is difficult to pick up all the things he did and what he was involved in. My heart goes out to the entire Hekket family and knows how difficult it is to move forward. Life will not be the same without him.

Take it a day at a time and hold onto the wonderful memories. He will be remembered forever.
