Lieve Yvette, Wij als peetoom en peettante zijn eigenlijk met stomheid geslagen. Wat moet het moeilijk geweest zijn voor je om deze beslissing te nemen, Maar de hoeveelheid pijn die je gehad hebt was ook eigenlijk niet te dragen.
Jammer dat wij niets voor je konden betekenen. Ook toen je nog dit voorjaar bij ons was merkten we niet hoeveel pijn je had. Wel heb je nog een fijne wandeling op het strand gemaakt met Irene. Yvette rust zacht en in Vrede.

To Yvette's family and close friends, I express my deepest sympathies and sadness for your incredible loss. I was at Harvard with Yvette: she was the first person I had a long and deep conversation with in August 2006. I recall her commenting on her achievements at home and observing that all her life she had been an overachiever, and now she was amongst others like herself and that both excited and scared her. We were in John Harvards in Cambridge I believe. I didn't know Yvette well, but in our LLM year, we were all close as it was a community. She always seemed together and clear what she wanted, in a very European way. She counseled me at a time I was thinking of going to the Netherlands for work in a law firm there. I am very sorry, it is so sad.

Lieve Yvette, sommige levens vergen herhaaldelijk het uiterste van een mens. Ik heb respect voor de kracht en moed die jij hebt getoond. Het ga je goed.

Lieve Yvette, wat een bijzondere ontmoeting en vriendschap hadden wij en wat hield je van Kleine A. John en ik zullen ervoor zorgen dat Kleine A jouw liefde altijd zal herinneren. We miss your texts simply asking: Swings? Which only we knew meant meeting at the swings of our local St Luke's Church just two minutes from your cottage. We miss you, special friend. Fly away and be peaceful.

My sincere condolences to all Yvettes Family and friends. I will always remember her sense of humour and the laughs we had standing outside the Edgar Wallace. My memories will always be of her eyes and smile.

I speak for all at Cloisters when I say how inexpressibly shocked and saddened we are at the loss of such a gifted and dynamic colleague.

As a friend and colleague of Yvette, I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear of Yvette's untimely passing. My condolences go out to her family and friends for her loss. She will not be forgotten.
