R.I.P. Cees

Dear Gerda and Family,
with great sadness, we received the information, that Cees has gone.
I very clearly remember the preparration of Valve World 2004, when Cees chaired the Conference together with me. And it was at that time, when he got major problems with his terrible disease. Despite that fact he supportet us to make also that conference a success and we were so happy, to see him at the conference and to feel his hope to fully recover.
Its a great tragedy you and for us all that this hope wasn\'t fulfilled and a great man and friend has now gone.

I was very shocked to hear of the (unexpected) death of our highly appreciated colleague Cees Glandorp. We worked together in the CAPI team and Valve World. Cees was our support and anchor at all time. My sincere condolences for all the family.

The CAPI team, Akzo Nobel colleagues and I wish you and your family all the strength you need in these difficult times.

The time I spent on working with you was relatively short, just over five years. However, it was long enough to learn your character. You were a man of will, a man of dignity and a man of consideration.
I am proud of working and sharing time with you. You were a true professional and the great gentleman.

We had the opportunity to work with Cees in our professional capacity, but it never felt that way with Cees. His immense contributions to the industry have guided us for many years. Yet, from the first time we met him, his down-to-earth and approchable nature was very empowering and humbling and an inspiration for us. May his soul rest in peace and all of us cherish his memories.

So pity to hear that. Although we just had only a short meet one years ago, I often heard the praise from my colleagues and friends, you are so good, professional, strict, honest, friendly............

Cees will be greatly missed,as a colleague and as a friend. Cees was a most important part as a techncial expert on my ISO committee\'s SC2 -WG Pipeline Valves and SC2-WG9 Subsea pipelien valves. Many of our recent revisons to the pipeline valve ISO standard were based on imput from Cees. I will personnely miss his friendship.

We are terribly sorry to hear that Cees passed away.

All of us at Orton are sure that he is now in a warmest place with his sufferings finally gone.

His disease caused to Him, His Family and His friends a big sorrow, which was extremely hard to bear.

The strength and courage he faced his disease will be an example for all the persons he knew.

His memory would last forever and his spirit will be part of us.

We will miss him a lot.

Tot onze schrik lazen wij gisteren in het AD de overlijdensadvertentie van Cees.
Wij zagen elkaar in Brunei waar Cees en Francis bij BLNG werkten. Later was er niet veel contact meer, maar wij hebben goede herinneringen ook aan jullie.
Wij willen jullie condoleren met het verlies van Cees. Veel sterkte toegewenst de komende tijd.
