Roy,
Many Thanks for the info. It is very sad to hear the sad news from my former boss/colleague.
Send my condolences to his family.
Still remember , In the early 90?s I have been to his house once. He picked me up and sent me back when I was at the Leeuwenhorst doing my training. About 1 hour drive. After that there are several correspondence with him regarding work related matters.
Regards,
Liew Ah Hen

It is with deep sadness and pain in our hearts that a talented friendly colleague has passed away.
I have known Cees for many years, also pre-Shell, and have learned a lot from him. It was really great working and travelling with Cees and I will miss his great expertise and friendly but very constructive discussions and advise. He was a very fine colleague and never had a bad word for anyone. It was a privilege and honor to work with Cees and he will be deeply missed. Cees, many thanks for everything you shared with us and we will never forget you.
Wishing Gerda, Mark, Chantal and Dennis all the strength and peace they need for this sad loss.

In one?s life you meet very occasionally certain people who it is an absolute privilege to work with. Even rarer are people like Cee?s who are genuinely unique ,with his immense ability to advise and inform with utter humility .
A true gentlemen of enormous stature and will always be remembered !
My sincere condolences are with Gerda, Chantel and Dennis for the sad loss of your husband and father ?You have every right to be proud of him as I was proud to call him my friend!

I commemorate Cees as a passionate man, direct, honest but above all highly motivated. A promise from Cees was a copper-bottomed guarantee. But above all he was a nice and gentle person to work with. Despite his severe illness he was always on hand at his home office, from where he continued to pass on advice and suggestions. It was truly amazing to see how hard he continued to work even though he was already so ill. I remember very well when he together with Gerda came to Shanghai to participate at the Valve World Asia Conference in 2007. I could see that he was really tired, even exhausted and sometimes in pain. He could hardly walk up the stairs to the conference rooms. But he insisted on doing so because as I said he really wanted to deliver what he had promised. Well done Cees, well done. And thank you so much for everything you did for us.

Cees Glansdorp was my friend and more to me. Ever since we?d met, we?ve had a closeness which can only be described as brotherly. Cees exhibited a remarkable strength of will and a courage to live his life his way, no matter the circumstances. His greatest strength however, was his compassionate and tender heart. He cared for his fellow man. He cherished his friendships. I cherished his friendship and will greatly miss him.
Cees was a wonderful example and teacher to his children. One can sense his practical approach to life, his considerate perspective of others and his warmth in his children. Mark and Chantal are shining reflections of their father. I am so happy to know them.
Cees was loving and faithful husband to a wonderful woman.
With Deepest Sympathy
